They will try and sell you hourly diag for stuff that is not broken and they will fight you on fixing the actual issue. They didn't know I was a mechanic when I dropped my vehicle off or when they called to say it was not the alternator but the transmission. I had to force them to replace the alternator and surprise that was the issue. Go somewhere else that is not going to just take your money and be a scam shop.

Had three visits and each visit was the same: the staff never acknowledged me when I walked in, never greeted me, and never asked how they could help. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming and came across as unprofessional. As a customer, you expect at least a simple greeting or someone taking a moment to understand why you’re there. I’m a strong believer in supporting local businesses because they are the backbone of our community. Unfortunately, experiences like this make it difficult to continue doing so. It left me wondering whether some customers are simply made to feel less welcome than others. Based on my repeated experiences, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this shop to others. Customer service costs nothing, but it makes all the difference.

Called this shop to ask about diagnosis and repair costs. They clearly told me the diagnosis was FREE, and that they would let me know the repair cost afterward. Based on that, I scheduled an appointment, took a day off work, and drove 20 miles to the shop.When I arrived, they suddenly told me the diagnosis would cost between $400-$800, and that it’s only “free” if nothing is wrong with the compressor. That was never mentioned on the phone. Very disappointing experience and a waste of my time. Important details like that should be explained clearly before customers make appointments and drive to the shop.

I was quoted from Midas that I needed front rotors and brake pads replaced and that my tires were bad. I called Pep Boys in Eagan, MN and Ross helped me. They checked out the vehicle and I needed no brake pads or rotors and my tires still had plenty of Life in them. This place is completely honest and will not rip you off. Thank you Ross for being honest. He also brought me back to the shop to see the brakes, rotors and tires for myself. I will be using Pep Boys in Eagan from now on and will be recommending them to all my friends!

I picked up my car in the parking lot so it was driven to that spot and the check engine light was still on. Other issues were created by whatever was or wasn't done. My spark plug was not changed and I was not told about $100 diagnostic fee when I brought in paper work of what the issue was.
